The temperature is one of the most important factors for successfully keeping reptiles and has to be set to the animals needs. This is not an easy task as there are various different heating products available and the temperature inside the terrarium is also influenced by the terrarium lighting.
Some models do also have useful additional functions like a night time temperature drop which help to create optimal conditions for the animals.
Also available are hygrostats which control the humidity. The use hygrostats is advisable for animals with specific needs in regards to humidity like green tree pythons.
