What is the Spiderling Starter Kit?

A secure square plastic container including essential substrate and decor, perfectly designed for hobbyists to keep and maintain young tarantulas or scorpions; the perfect ‘first home’ for a wide variety of species.

  • Secure plastic flip lid container - 24oz (108 x 108 x 75mm).
  • Substrate.
  • Small Cork Bark hide.
  • Artificial Plant.
  • Small plastic water pot.
  • Superfine mist compact spray bottle.

The benefits of the Spiderling Starter Kit

This starter kit is perfectly sized to house a single spiderling, providing stable humidity levels, security, and environmental enrichment.

Ideal for rearing spiderlings or scorplings.

  • Perfect for terrestrial, arboreal or fossorial species.
  • Cross ventilation, with 1mm holes on two sides of the container.
  • Stackable without compromising airflow.
  • Secure flip-top lid measuring 32mm by 28mm for ease of feeding and watering while minimising the risk of escapees.
  • Clear tub allows you to observe your tarantula without disturbing it.

How to use the Spiderling Starter Kit

A quick setup guide.

  1. Place the substrate into the tub, filling one-third in-depth for terrestrial or young arboreal species and two-thirds for fossorial spiderlings to allow burrowing.
  2. Place the artificial plant and cork hides onto the substrate. Using your finger, ensure a small gap underneath the cork for the spiderling to use as a starter burrow.
  3. Sink the small water pot into the substrate so the top sits at ground level for easy access.
  4. Use the fine mist spray bottle to moisten the soil for your species-specific requirements.
