What do Parlour Palms look like?

If left untrimmed, this palm can grow 2-3 metres tall. The trunk is slender and woody and it has typical feather-like palm tree leaves which fan out to a point. This plant can occasionally flower and produce berries if the conditions are perfect.

Where are Parlour Palms from?

Native to rainforests of Southern Mexico and Guatemala.

How to care for Parlour Palms

These plants are ideal for a tropical environment and will thrive in humid conditions. Plant in moist but well drained substrate, watering once the soil begins to feel dry to the touch. They are slow growing and will happily live in partially shaded areas of a terrarium but thrive under full spectrum plant growth LED lighting. They can be fed to encourage growth using a terrarium safe biofertiliser liquid made with Superworm Frass.
