What do African Violet Plants look like?

This is a low growing compact plant, it has thick round hairy dark green leaves. The flowers of African Violets have five petals, in a variety of different violet shades and also in pink and white.

Where are African Violet Plants from?

Native to tropical areas in Tanzania and Kenya.

How to care for African Violet Plants

These plants thrive in a tropical rainforest environment, preferring hot and moist areas within the terrarium. They require good substrate drainage and prefer a more shaded area within the enclosure.

They can be fed using a terrarium safe biofertiliser such as Superworm Frass. Use a full spectrum plant growth LED to aid colour and growth.
