Silkworms

Silkworms are a great alternative food that lizards and amphibians rarely turn down.
We know how important it is to provide your animals with the correct sized foods. The Silkworms are available in four sizes and contain the following amounts:
- Small (1-1.5) = 30
- Medium (2-3.5) = 25
- Large (4-5.5) = 20
- Jumbo (6-8) = 15
The smaller worms are ideal for hatchling lizards and small chameleons, whereas the jumbo sized worms are best suited for adult Bearded Dragons, Blue Tongue Skinks and Water Dragons.
Silkworms feed on Mulberry, however, not everyone has access to this, therefore you can purchase a Silkworm diet. This arrives as a dry mix, simply add water and place in the microwave. Once cooked, this can be stored in the fridge for approx 3-5 days. For best results, make up smaller amounts to prevent this from drying out. Full instructions are provided with the silkworm diet.
